mBrace Performance Modelling - Data Configuration

Presentation of Metrics for Parsing

Collected metric data should be uploaded to the FTP site: ftp://ftp.contentional.eu in the following manner:

The file and directory structure can be constructed from the data elements in the “.ete” file, see § 2.

\[Relationship]\[Field5]\[Field6]\[Field11]

[Relationship]    =    Name of relationship/customer
[Field5]        =    Project Identifier
[Field6]        =    Measurement Number or Phase Number
[Field11]        =    SU, BO or MU sequence number

The following is an example of the directory and file structure used for the storage of a number of measurements for a fictional project called ZBP at a customer called XYZ Insurance:

\XYZ_Insurance
|-- ZBP
          |-- Phase2
                    |-- BO
     |       |-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-BO.ete
     |       |-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-serv_0064-BO.perfmon
     |       |-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-apsapu26-BO.nmon
     |-- MU1
     |       |-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-MU1.ete
     |       |-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-serv_0064-MU1.perfmon
     |       |-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-apsapu26-MU1.nmon
     |-- MU2
     |       |-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-MU2.ete
     |       |-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-serv_0064-MU2.perfmon
     |       |-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-apsapu26-MU2.nmon
     |-- SU
|-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-SU.ete
|-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-serv_0064-SU.perfmon
|-- 20071011-ZBP-Phase2-apsapu26-SU.nmon

Note that dates are in YYMMDD format, and that any spaces in names should be replaced with an underscore (“_”).
